Event Marketing Manager – Technology (Remote)

We are seeking an experienced Event Marketing Manager for a technology startup. This role will support the planning and execution of trade shows, conferences, and online events, including event logistics, event promotion, and coordination with internal teams, conference organizers, vendors, and external marketing partners. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

This is a 4-month contract (contract to FTE possible), 40 hours per week. The role is remote for US-based candidates. Bay Area, CA candidates are preferred, with an expectation of working from the Client’s San Mateo office approximately two days per week. No travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning and execution of trade shows, conferences, and online events.
• Coordinate with event organizers on event requirements, booth information, setup, timelines, and logistics.
• Coordinate on-site staffing, lead scanning, event materials, and related event activities.
• Work with internal marketing, sales, and other teams to coordinate event deliverables and timelines.
• Support event promotion through social media, email, website, and blog communications.
• Coordinate with external marketing partners and internal stakeholders on event-related email campaigns and communications.
• Support the promotion and execution of online events, including coordination with camera crews and other event production vendors.
• Manage event timelines, deliverables, and follow-up activities.
• Coordinate multiple stakeholders and proactively address event-related issues.
• Support post-event activities and ensure event follow-up is completed.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in event marketing. Experience with Technology startups preferred.
• Experience managing trade shows, conferences, and other business events.
• Experience working with conference organizers, vendors, onsite staffing, and lead scanning.
• Experience supporting event promotion through email, social media, websites, or blogs.

Compensation: $70/hr – $85/hr. Depending on experience.
