Social Media and Marketing Manager

Role Summary

Team Elite Basketball is hiring a Social Media Manager to grow our brand, drive registrations, and keep our community engaged across Instagram (primary), TikTok, Facebook and YouTube. We’re a Menlo Park–based, Adidas-sponsored program with competitive travel pathways including Jr. 3SSB, High School 3SSB Circuit and Gold Circuits. This role blends content creation, posting, and community management—with a clear focus on converting local Bay Area families into registrations.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute a simple weekly content plan (posts, stories, reels)
• Capture/edit content from practices, games, camps, tryouts (as scheduled)
• Create promotional content that converts: tryouts, training, camps, club teams, holiday programs
• Manage posting cadence and brand voice (motivating, clear, premium parent-friendly)
• Write captions, add CTAs, and drive traffic to registration/payment links
• Engage the community: respond to comments, route leads to [email protected]
• Coordinate with coaches/ops to highlight player development, culture, and wins
• Maintain a basic content library (folders by season/team/event)
• Track simple performance metrics (reach, engagement, link clicks, registrations)

Key Deliverables (what “good” looks like)

• Consistent weekly output (ex: 3–5 posts/reels + regular stories)
• Clean, on-brand graphics for announcements (tryouts/camps/schedule changes)
• Strong conversion on key pushes (tryouts + camps + training sign-ups)
• Fast response times, organized and easy to communicate with

Qualifications

• Proven experience running Instagram for a brand/program (sports/youth programs a plus)
• Comfortable shooting/editing on phone (CapCut/Adobe Express/Canva)
• Strong eye for clean design and a premium look
• Reliable, organized, and able to meet deadlines around event dates
• Familiarity with Bay Area youth sports market is a plus
