WordPress Website & Digital Marketing Manager

We are seeking an experienced, creative, and reliable WordPress Website & Digital Marketing Manager to manage and continually improve the websites for our two bed & breakfasts properties in Ocean Grove, New Jersey.

This is an ongoing, part-time position for someone who is highly comfortable working within WordPress and understands how a hospitality website should function. Not only looking beautiful, but also attracting visitors, generating direct bookings, and building relationships with past and prospective guests.

Responsibilities

The Website & Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for:

• Managing and maintaining our WordPress websites
• Handling WordPress updates, plugins, pages, menus, forms, links, and general website functionality
• Troubleshooting website issues and making sure the sites remain secure, fast, mobile-friendly, and easy to navigate
• Updating room information, rates, photos, property information, specials, events, and seasonal content
• Creating a fresh website presentation for each season, including updating photography, imagery, promotions, and relevant content
• Improving the guest experience and making it easy for visitors to move from browsing the website to booking a stay
• Connecting and maintaining links or integrations with our booking/reservation system
• Managing and improving SEO so our properties rank well for relevant searches such as Ocean Grove accommodations, bed & breakfasts, weekend getaways, and nearby Jersey Shore destinations
• Tracking website traffic, search rankings, visitor behavior, and other important website analytics
• Identifying opportunities to improve Google search visibility and increase direct website traffic
• Helping develop an email marketing program using our website and guest database
• Creating website email sign-up forms and helping build an organized subscriber list
• Assisting with email campaigns for seasonal openings, special rates, events, workshops, holidays, and returning-guest promotions
• Tracking email campaign performance, including opens, clicks, and website visits

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who

• Has strong hands-on experience with WordPress
• Can confidently manage both the front end and back end of a WordPress website
• Understands WordPress plugins, themes, forms, backups, security, and updates
• Has experience with SEO and Google Analytics
• Understands local SEO and how to improve Google visibility for a hospitality business
• Has experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Klaviyo, or similar systems
• Has a good eye for photography, layout, branding, and website presentation
• Understands mobile website optimization
• Is organized, responsive, and able to work independently
• Can explain website and marketing recommendations in understandable terms to a business owner
• Hospitality, hotel, vacation rental, Airbnb, or bed & breakfast experience is a strong plus
• Airbnb knowledge preferred, but not required

Time Commitment

This is an ongoing part-time position. Workload will vary throughout the year, with additional hours needed during major seasonal website updates and preparation for upcoming seasons.

We are looking for someone interested in developing a long-term relationship with our properties rather than completing a one-time website project.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
