The Currnt Collective is a community-centered social club based in Lake Norman, NC, dedicated to making connection accessible, elevated, and fun. We offer curated experiences such as dinner parties, workshops, seasonal celebrations, and mixers tailored to bring people together locally. Our themed event series, including Social Waves, Active Waves, Seasonal Waves, and Creative Waves, cater to diverse groups including young professionals, families, seasoned locals, and newcomers. Each event is designed with intention, creating opportunities for connection, belonging, and memorable experiences. We're building a community hub where connection flows, without needing to drive into Charlotte.

Role Description

This is a contract role for a Founding Team - Marketing & Communications Lead. The role is located in Mooresville, NC, with some work-from-home flexibility as part of its hybrid nature. The Marketing & Communications Lead will be responsible for leading and developing strategic communications, managing internal communications, and overseeing marketing projects. You'll run social media, email campaigns, and promotional content to grow awareness of our events and build an online presence for The Currnt Collective.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, TikTok, etc.)
• Create event flyers, graphics, and email marketing campaigns
• Engage with local audiences online and generate excitement for events
• Collaborate with the team on brand voice and storytelling

What We’re Looking For

• Strong social media management and content creation skills
• Experience with Canva, Adobe, or other design tools a plus
• Ability to write engaging captions, emails, and copy
• Interest in community-building and local events

Compensation

• Event-based stipend + shared revenue model. This is a founding collaborator role, not a traditional salaried position. Opportunity to grow into a long-term leadership role.
