Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) / Marketing Strategist – Lead Campaign Strategy & Client Communication - Contract to Hire
UpworkWe are looking for a Marketing Strategist / Fractional CMO to help oversee and guide our marketing campaigns.
We already have an overseas media buying team that handles the execution, so your role is primarily strategy, direction, and client communication — making sure campaigns are moving in the right direction.
Responsibilities
- Guide and oversee campaigns across Meta Ads, Google Ads, and SEO
- Work closely with our overseas media buying team to ensure campaigns are optimized
- Conduct client onboarding calls (approximately 1 hour)
- Hold a strategy check-in call with the client after 2 weeks
- Review campaign performance and provide direction to the team
- Act as the bridge between our team and the client
What You’ll Be Doing
This role is focused on strategy and oversight, not daily ad management.
Most of the day-to-day campaign work is handled by our media buyer, but we need someone experienced to guide the strategy and ensure everything is running properly.
Requirements
- Experience with Meta Ads and Google Ads strategy
- Understanding of SEO and marketing growth strategies
- Ability to review campaigns and give clear direction
- Comfortable speaking with clients on calls
- Organized and reliable
Time Commitment
Approximately 4–6 hours per month
- 1 onboarding call
- 1 follow-up strategy call
- Communication with our media buyer when needed
Compensation
$350 per month
