We are a SaaS startup launching a beta for a website monitoring tool aimed at:
- Non-technical small business owners with websites
- Web developers, small web agencies and web hosting companies
Our product monitors for hidden website issues and helps users fix them before they lose customers.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented contractor to:
1. Identify and reach out to small business owners in forums, groups, or communities
2. Engage then DM users who seem to need/want our solution.
3. Pitch them to join our free private beta (no payment required)
4. Help them navigate the sign up process and provide feedback to help remove potential sign-up friction.
5. Test and iterate on messaging (we’ll support with copy)
Ideal Candidate Has
- Strong written English and DM etiquette
- Familiarity with online communities (Reddit, Facebook groups, technical support/answer forums.)
- Prior experience in B2B outreach or product launches (emphasis is on VERY small businesses. This is NOT an Enterprise sales gig!)
Bonus: background in tech, web, or SaaS
Your Responsibilities
🕑 Mon–Fri, ~2–3 hours/day (must include US business hours)
✅ Monitor & Engage
Facebook: Active trade/contractor groups; any groups related to web tech errors.
Quora: Topics around newbie resolution for technical issues (MX; DNS; web hosting; SEO)
Twitter/X: any appeals to help or solve technical issues
Technical Help Forums: posts from desperate users trying to solve issues.
✅ Leave Helpful, Authentic Replies (5–10/day)
Give value first — share insight, advice, empathy
Casually mention our SaaS tool only when it makes sense
You’ll have example templates, but should write in your own voice
Our primary objective is to generate immediate signups. But we also seek brand awareness for our solution. If you can place a link in your post, we can track interaction from your work.
✅ Spark Discussions (2–3x/week)
Examples
“Business Owners — tell us about your worst technical failure than shut off your website and how you fixed it.”
“SMB Owners: have you lost leads just because your website went down and no one told you?"
"What are the most frustrating (bone head) errors on your website that cost you money?"
We can also support you with relevant blog posts that seem to answer user's relevant questions. This needs to be highly customized to avoid being spammy.
✅ Track & Report
Log: Platform, post link, response type, upvotes/replies, DMs, signups
Respond to DMs from interested users within 2 hours (during work hours)
Weekly Deliverables
Engagement summary (what worked, what didn’t)
List of new communities or threads worth tracking
Suggestions for improving messaging or responses
What Success Looks Like
Week 1–2 (Trial)
- 50+ helpful comments or posts
- No flags or bans (we’re not spamming)
- 5–10 DMs
- 10-20 qualified signups to our app
Month 1
- Active in 10–15 relevant communities
- 200+ organic interactions
- 50-100 qualified signups/month
