Growth Product Intern Program
The Growth Product team at Zendesk is dedicated to enhancing customer experiences by influencing conversion rates, trial engagement, expansion, and retention. This 9-week program, beginning in June 2025, is based in our San Francisco office, located in the heart of the downtown financial district.
What You’ll Experience
As an intern, you’ll join a cohort of like-minded peers and receive guidance from experienced product managers dedicated to supporting your growth. Your support team will include your manager, a peer buddy, and a senior mentor (Director+), providing you with personalized feedback and career development.

What you’ll be doing
Within the Growth function, we have 1 role:
As one of our Product Manager intern, your key responsibilities may include the following:
Market Research: Conduct research to identify growth opportunities and analyze competitor strategies.
User Feedback: Collect and analyze user feedback to understand needs and pain points.
Product Development: Assist in defining product requirements and work with engineering and design teams.
A/B Testing: Design and implement experiments to evaluate new features and optimize user experience.
Performance Metrics: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to user acquisition and retention.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with marketing, sales, and support teams to align on growth initiatives.
Documentation: Maintain documentation of product features and testing results.
Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to strategies for market expansion and identify potential partnerships.
Learning: Stay updated on industry trends and seek mentorship to enhance product management skills.
Customer Journey: Assist in mapping the customer journey and improving onboarding processes.
Who You Are:
We are looking for passionate, creative, and proactive interns who are eager to learn and contribute to a dynamic team.
Minimum Requirements:
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with planned graduation in Winter 2025 or Spring 2026
Positive attitude with a product mindset
Desire to learn new things quickly and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
Familiarity with basic product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Figma) and data analysis tools (e.g., Bigquery, Google Analytics).
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail - an overall “get it done” attitude
Preferred Requirements:
Previous Engineering, Marketing or Product internship preferred
Basic understanding of the product development lifecycle and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)

In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our San Francisco office 4x a week.

The US annualized base salary range for this position is $50,000.00-$76,000.00. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives. While this range reflects the minimum and maximum value for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, the offer for the successful candidate for this position will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors such as work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only (or OTE for commissions based roles), and do not include bonus, benefits, or related incentives.
Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
