The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Marketing Assistant to join our dynamic patient marketing team. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, a talent for copy and design, and loves working on a variety of campaigns. This is a contract role that will support various marketing initiatives, including social, display and search campaigns, email outreach and advocacy efforts, and is perfect for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment while contributing to a positive mission.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with marketing managers to align on campaign goals, strategies, and key messaging
- Translate marketing strategies into polished, on-brand copy and visually engaging design updates
- Assist in the development, execution, and tracking of multi-channel marketing campaigns, including social media, display ads, email outreach, and search engine advertising
- Support the creation and optimization of engaging content for social media platforms, email newsletters, website updates, and advocacy partner collaborations
- Conduct basic research to identify trends, audience insights, and opportunities to improve campaign performance
- Assist with the analysis of campaign metrics and provide actionable insights to enhance outcomes
- Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure campaigns are executed on schedule
- Provide administrative support to the marketing team, including organizing assets, scheduling content, and tracking project progress
- Maintain brand consistency across all marketing collateral and communication channels
Skills
- Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and adapt messaging to different audiences.
- Content Creation: Exceptional attention to grammar, spelling, and punctuation, with proven ability to produce clean, professional, and engaging content.
- Design Proficiency: Experience using design tools such as Figma (or similar platforms) to create or update campaign materials.
- Digital Marketing Knowledge: Familiarity with digital marketing concepts, including SEO, PPC, social media advertising, and email marketing best practices.
- Social Media & Email Tools: Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social) and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot).
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret basic marketing metrics and apply insights to optimize campaigns.
- Detail-Oriented & Organized: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proactive Attitude: A self-starter with a willingness to learn and adapt to various aspects of marketing.
Experience
- Required: Degree in marketing or equivalent experience
- Healthcare Experience (Preferred): Familiarity with healthcare marketing or experience working in a patient-focused industry is a plus but not required
