Reporting to the Senior Manager of Retail Marketing, the Associate Marketing Manager will support the overall management of Peet’s & Caribou product categories within Office Coffee and Foodservice “Proudly Pouring” accounts. This position is part strategy, category management, innovation, and tactical implementation, all of which will drive sales and deliver business objectives. This is a full-time, exempt position and is based at Peet’s Emeryville, CA headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Reports to the Senior Manager, Retail Marketing in the development of strategic menu directions across core categories for grown, customer engagement and overall profitability
- Manages new or limited-edition product launches and initiatives from ideation through the commercialization process
- Collaborates with cross functional partners across creative, R&D, supply chain and operations teams to support the development and deployment of campaigns
- Supports category development tools to manage the overall SKU assortment and pricing in the away-from-home channel
- Develops and refines consumer insights and supports consumer research across product categories to understand and explain consumer wants and needs
- Pulls and analyzes sales data to evaluate program and product campaigns to report on results and identify opportunities for growth
- Cascades retail and AFH email communications to provide regular key updates to field team, identifying action steps if applicable
- Collaborates with Sales on marketing support tools and Trade Show planning
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of marketing or product management experience, preferably with top-tier foodservice or food/beverage industry experience
- Project management experience working within a new product development process for food or beverages including a familiarity navigating Stage Gate models
- Proven ability to drive results with a high degree of personal initiative & integrity in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Strong ability to build and maintain highest-quality cross functional partnerships
- Proven ability to successfully plan and manage projects with a close attention to detail and high level of organization
- Excellent problem solving, communication, presentation, analytical and process building skills
- Ability to self-motivate and motivate others to accomplish goals
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field of study; Master’s degree a plus

The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
