Position Overview:
The Head of Marketing and Brand Strategy will lead the strategic planning and development of a comprehensive marketing and brand strategy. This includes brand management, digital ecommerce, brand and product positioning, and marketing strategy. The ideal candidate is a transformational leader experienced in all marketing verticals that has prior experience working with small brands to develop bespoke strategies to meet company growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:
● Brand Vision & Strategy: Develop and oversee the brand’s identity, positioning, and messaging across channels to foster brand loyalty and differentiation.
● Market Expansion: While growing existing channels, lead B2B marketing for brick-and-mortar partnerships, manage local marketing efforts for the veterinary clinic, and develop strategies to enter new markets (e.g., international, product lines).
● Campaign Oversight: Oversee integrated campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand goals, market expansion, and seasonal promotions like BFCM.
● Product Marketing (4Ps): Craft product positioning, distribution, and pricing strategies that maximize reach and profitability; work closely with product development on go-to-market strategies.
● Customer Insights & Research: Regularly gather and analyze customer feedback, market trends, and competitor activities to refine brand strategy and identify growth opportunities.
● Influencer & Partnership Strategy: Establish influencer and partnership strategy, setting guidelines and priorities for effective brand collaborations.
● Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product, sales, and operations teams to align marketing with broader business goals, including inventory planning for campaigns.
Qualifications:
● 7-10 years of full-time, marketing leadership experience across multiple marketing verticals
● 4-7 years of full-time, in-house e-Commerce / performance marketing experience.
● Strong understanding of brand developmnt and productuct placement with prior experience developing both
● Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms, technologies, and best practices
● Experience with paid media planning and buying, including but not limited to: Pinterest, Twitter, Snapchat, etc.
● Experience with web analytic software (such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magneto, etc.)
● Knowledge of digital marketing tactics and channels, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media
● Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred.
