Job Description:
Sabio is looking for an Events Marketing Manager in New York City who will oversee sales-focused marketing programs and events. The events marketing manager will work closely with the sales team to plan initiatives and events that help nurture client relationships and drive more opportunities. The ideal candidate has a “can-do” attitude and exceptional attention to detail. This person is highly collaborative while being a self-starter. The Events Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Content, working closely with the EVP of Business Development and Strategy.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with the sales team to understand needs, goals, and objectives
- Plan, execute, and attend New York City events, including lunch-and-learns, client outings, and event sponsorships
- Lead marketing initiatives, including digital marketing, events, promotional items, and 3rd party event sponsorships
- Research industry events and programs-based product initiatives
- Establish priorities and manage timelines and budgets for multiple projects, ensuring appropriate and cost-effective use of resources
- Negotiate and secure sponsorship and coordinate successful participation, including messaging with the content team, design with our creative services team, and target list and invites with Sales/AMs
- Develop a strategy for promotional items, such as client gifts and event swag
- Promote & share information about events internally to the marketing team, sales, and leadership team
- Work collaboratively with all areas of marketing, brand design, sales, and finance to develop and execute effective events to drive thought leadership
- Promote and utilize analytical methods to establish and evaluate all programs, track all results, and report on ROI to leadership
- Be open to additional marketing tasks and initiatives
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, including event planning and sales partnership
- Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, or other related business field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of marketing best practices
- A creative and self-sufficient problem solver who can find solutions with a “get it done, no matter what” mentality.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Strong base knowledge of Microsoft Suite Products, Google Docs, and social media
- Exceptional project and time management skills – highly organized, detail-focused, results-driven, and accountable
- Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator or Canva bonus, not required
