The Angel City Football Club's Event Operations Department is looking for a Special Events Manager to handle the holistic planning and execution of its special events from initial concept development among internal departments to post-event evaluation. The Special Events Manager will be involved in every step of the event planning process, including managing logistics, coordinating vendors, ensuring client satisfaction, and overseeing the event itself.

Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in extensive event planning, hospitality, or project management
- Demonstrated experience organizing large-scale events including stadium events, corporate functions, complex conferences, and group travel logistics
- International travel planning preferred, including air/ground transportation and hotel booking
- Experience in talent coordination with A-list athletes and VIPs
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong decision-making skills to handle day-to-day operations and anything that comes up last minute or unforeseen situations
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to professionally communicate and interact with all levels of management, staff, fans, talent, VIPs, etc.
- Personable, proactive, creative, and innovative team player who believes in the mission, vision, values, and goals of Angel City FC
- Experience working with Asana, Slack, Google Office, Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and AutoCAD (preferred)
- General willingness to jump in and help wherever necessary as relates to events
- Ability to be on-site for long hours and lift or move heavy items if needed
Duties
- Develop and manage comprehensive event plans including negotiating venue and vendor contracts, acquiring permits, creating and maintaining detailed timelines, presentations, and event staffing plans
- Responsible for all assets of planning, organizing, and executing a variety of special events including cross-departmental events and gameday special theme nights/activations
- Lead all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, catering, equipment rentals, transportation, etc.
- Manage events and travel budgets, track expenses, handle invoicing, and optimize resources effectively
- Assist with coordinating individual or group travel arrangements that meet clients' travel preferences, including booking transportation, accommodations, and customized itineraries
- Ensure all events comply with health and safety regulations, insurance requirements, contracts, safety protocols, and the ACFC code of conduct
- Collaborate with event stakeholders to define event objectives and requirements
- Track event success through feedback and survey metrics, implementing improvements based on evaluations and team goals
- Assist with the physical set-up, production, and tear-down of ACFC signage, gameday elements, and stadium operations equipment
- Facilitate a safe and enjoyable environment for all attendees
- Perform other duties as assigned

Compensation
In addition to the benefits above, this role pays $70,000 annually.
