Responsibilities
The Social Media Specialist will create and distribute content in various formats across multiple channels to enhance the consumer recognition of our brands and drive digital follower expansion. This role will create and curate engaging content across social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Develop, schedule, and manage engaging and creative content across social media platforms for multiple brands, ensuring consistent brand messaging and tone.
- Platforms: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest
- Build and expand each brand's channels, with an emphasis on engaging photo and video content that drives growth and engagement.
- Produce and edit video content.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics to inform strategy adjustments.
- Engage with followers, influencers, and brand advocates to foster a strong community and boost brand loyalty.
- Implement social media best practices, emphasizing data-driven reporting, measurements, and Return on Investment (ROI) analysis for digital campaigns.
- Monitor competitor social media channels and activities, reporting insights as needed.
- Stay informed about current social media best practices and future digital sales and marketing trends.
- Assist with proofreading or editing other content before publishing.
- Ability to work full-time and on-site with regular attendance required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating followership growth.
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of driving social media follower count by creating engaging and innovative content across multiple platforms.
- Solid understanding of best practices for social media networks such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.
- Strong computer skills, including Adobe Creative Suite/Canva, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; copywriting experience is a plus.
- Photography and photo editing skills.
- Video production and editing skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Meticulously detail-oriented.
- Able to work independently as well as collaborate with a team.
