The status quo is that sellers spend the majority of their day doing administrative tasks. They’re confined to jotting notes, looking at LinkedIn profiles and monitoring Slack notifications. This needs to change.
Our team has been studying sales workflows for years, spotting the patterns and repetitive button clicks that hold sellers back. We’ve stood in their shoes, understood how to give them superpowers, and built products that unlocked their 7th gear.
Now we’re building with OpenAI models (they’re an investor) and several sales data vendors to change how go-to-market works. Today, outbound sales is dominated by cold, mass outreach that floods people's inboxes and converts to deals at a tiny rate. We’re building a platform to power warm outbound, allowing go-to-market teams to get in touch with the right people at the exact time they’re looking for a solution.
Unify was founded January 17th, 2023 byAustin Hughes(former Ramp) andConnor Heggie(former Scale AI). Prior to Unify, Austin led Ramp’s growth product team focused on new customer acquisition, and Connor was a machine learning research engineer at Scale.Other members of the founding team come from companies like Airbnb, Spotify, and LinkedIn.

About The Role
As our first content hire, you'll be instrumental in shaping Unify's story and brand across key platforms. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on content creation to shape how we communicate who we are and why we matter. Working with product, growth, and sales, you'll build our content engine from the ground up to establish Unify as a leader.
We're seeking someone who shares our obsession with quality, craft, and data. You'll think from first principles about how to tell the story of a new category, using both creative instinct and metrics to guide our content strategy and execution.
What You’ll Do
- Own Content Strategy: Develop and execute content across our website, blog, social, and paid channels that builds our brand and drives measurable pipeline
- Define Brand Voice: Create and maintain exceptional quality standards across all Unify content while developing our distinctive market position
- Drive Growth Through Data: Own content metrics, iterate based on performance, and continuously optimize our approach
- Shape Product Stories: Partner with product and engineering to craft compelling narratives around features, launches, and technical capabilities
- Create Thought Leadership: Work with founders to share their vision through social, podcasts, newsletters, and press opportunities
- Scale Our Content Engine: Build foundational processes for a world-class content engine spanning community, UGC, multimedia, and more
What You’ll Need
- Experience:
- 6+ years of content marketing experience, with a strong track record in early-stage startups
- Proven ability to create content that drives measurable pipeline results
- Experience building and executing content strategies that scale
- Technical Skills:
- Exceptional writing and editing skills across various content formats
- Ability to understand complex products and translate technical concepts into compelling narratives
- Bonus: Basic design skills (Figma), Video content creation experience, AI content generation tools
- Strategic thinking with strong execution capabilities
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Team player who can collaborate effectively with product, sales, and growth teams
About this role:
The annual salary/OTE range for this role is $140,000-$185,000 (dependent on experience), with a target equity package and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) options. This position is onsite in either San Francisco, CA, or New York City, NY, offering the invaluable opportunity to work closely with a talented team in a dynamic, high-energy environment. Being in-person enables real-time collaboration, fosters creative problem-solving, and strengthens the connections that drive innovation and impact. You'll be at the center of our fast-paced operations, contributing to a culture that values engagement, growth, and teamwork.
