As Phathom Pharmaceuticals continues to build its position as the leader in the treatment of acid-related disorders, we are seeking a Director, Patient Marketing Analytics. The person in this role will proactively lead the strategic partnership with Consumer Marketing to ensure the delivery of high-quality strategic business decision support, including investment decisions and commercial strategies and tactics.
Accountabilities
- Collaborate with brand marketing to analyze critical metrics, key performance indicators and derive insights from trends in product performance
- Create and implement measurement strategies and controlled experiments to understand the impact of our patient focused programs and refine them for maximum effectiveness
- Support the Consumer Marketing team in achieving performance metrics such as conversion rates, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
- Provide analytics thought leadership and drive the development of creative ad hoc models to address commercial questions and needs
- Communicate frequently and effectively with senior leadership on complex topics using simple visuals that clearly explain outputs, key risks, and opportunities
- Ensure accurate effective performance measurement and deliver regular assessments of performance to leadership, including clear articulation of the data and its meaning for the business
- Understand the legal and compliance environment and drive collaboration with the Legal and Compliance team where relevant
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- At least 10 years of experience in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company, with 7+ years in analytic or consulting roles preferred
- Primary market research and analytics experience required
- Foundational experience in primary care market or acid-related disorders a plus
- Experience working with patient-level data as well as syndicated data offerings.
- Extensive experience in the design and management of secondary data analytics. Advanced knowledge about study design and able to assess and direct vendor technical capabilities and manage risks in the analytic process
- Recognized expertise and coach to others on connecting, integrating and synthesizing analysis and data into a meaningful ‘so what’ to drive concrete strategic recommendations and enable commercial decision making.
- Identifies, prioritizes, and describes relevant caveats in data/model and how they relate to business question and broader strategic business priorities
- Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint
- Demonstrated high resilience and agility as well as a keen analytical mindset, curiosity, and ability to proactively anticipate points of confusion.
- Strong project management experience (planning, prioritization, objective setting, contingency planning, meeting management, and plan execution) and flexibility to juggle multiple priorities.
- Deep understanding of biotech/pharma market trends, vendors, and best practices
- Proven experience communicating complex analyses in a simple and clear manner

Annual Base Salary: $220,000-240,000
