Job role overview:
We are actively seeking a dynamic and ambitious individual to join our team as an SEO Specialist. As an SEO Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in building, managing, and growing SEO campaigns both internally and externally. Specifically, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day managing a variety of client’s SEO accounts. Your primary focus will be SEO campaign buildouts, technical SEO, on-page SEO, and off-page SEO. With a keen eye for detail and a knack for problem-solving, you will be the driving force behind turning marketing strategies into tangible results. Additionally, this role is client-facing, requiring effective communication of all campaign details to clients with the support of the marketing team(s).

What you’ll do:
SEO Audit: Perform a comprehensive SEO audit for potential new clients, examining their technical website structure, on-page SEO elements, off-page SEO strategies, and all other pertinent SEO components.
SEO Campaign Buildout: Develop and implement customized SEO campaigns tailored to client objectives, utilizing keyword research, on-page optimization, and off-page tactics to drive organic traffic and improve search engine rankings.
Keyword Research: Conducting keyword research to identify the most relevant and high-performing keywords for a website's target audience.
On-Page Optimization: Optimizing website content, including meta tags, headings, and internal links, to align with targeted keywords and improve search engine rankings.
Technical SEO: Performing technical audits to identify and fix issues that may impact a website's crawlability, indexing, and overall performance in search results. This may include addressing issues such as site speed, mobile-friendliness, and site architecture.
Content Optimization: Working to optimize website content, including blog posts, articles, service pages, and product descriptions, for search engines and users.
Off-Page Optimization: Building high-quality backlinks through outreach, directory listings, guest blogging, and other link-building strategies to improve a website's authority and ranking in search results.
Performance Monitoring: Tracking and analyzing website performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMRush, and Screaming Frog to identify opportunities for improvement and measure the impact of SEO efforts.
Reporting: Generating regular monthly reports on key SEO metrics, including organic traffic, keyword rankings, and conversion rates, to communicate progress and demonstrate the value of SEO initiatives to stakeholders.
Keeping Up with Industry Trends: Staying informed about changes in search engine algorithms, industry best practices, and emerging trends in SEO to continuously adapt strategies and tactics for optimal results.
Collaboration: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including content writers, web developers, and marketing professionals, to implement SEO best practices and achieve shared business goals.
Client Communication: Communicating with clients to understand their goals and objectives, provide recommendations for improving SEO performance, and deliver regular updates on progress and results.
What you’ll bring:
- Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree in marketing, digital marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred; otherwise, 3+ years of proven experience as an SEO Specialist or SEO in an agency setting.
- Software Knowledge: Experience and knowledge of proper SEO tools such as Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMRush, etc.
- SEO Knowledge: Proven experience in conducting SEO audits and developing actionable SEO campaigns for a business’ traffic and revenue.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both clients and internal teams.
- Account Management Skills: Client-facing experience with the ability to understand and meet client expectations.
- Organizational Skills: Demonstrates outstanding organizational and multitasking capabilities with meticulous attention to detail in effectively managing SEO across multiple projects.
- Self-starter: Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
