Purpose of this Position:
The Marketing Strategist will manage all updates in the Company’s WordPress account and create campaigns in the CRM database. The ideal candidate will be highly technologically competent and have a strong ability to navigate the company’s project management software and facilitate communication with various updates. This person will collaborate with multiple departments to discuss and determine upcoming campaigns and goals.
Essential Functions:
- Marketing ROI & budget management
- Oversee and manage all marketing content, including email, social media, and PPC
- Manage external marketing strategy and communications
- Blog Management oversight
- Article topic planning
- Oversee blog process and writing
- Editorial Pipeline and ensure 40+ published articles monthly
- Design and maintain marketing materials, brochures, advertisements
- Manage all social media platforms
- Assess current demand for products and services
- Partner with the Sales team on critical Marketing scorecard items
- Manage 3 or more marketing agencies and vendors
- Ensure a seamless lead generation and nurturing process through effective marketing and promotional tactics
- Branding & brand identity
- Marketing processes & recurring task management
- Team supervision and management of the team’s accountabilities
- Effectively communicate with writers, editors, designers, and Marketing Manager to implement marketing initiatives with WordPress and other technology platforms mentioned below.
- SalesForce sync checking and reporting
- Create and manage SalesForce campaigns and service picklists
- Make necessary updates to Pardot forms and automated emails

Required Education and Experience:
- 1 - 3 years of experience with content marketing to include email and social media outlets
- 1 - 3 years minimum experience in digital marketing experience for IT or Cyber Security professional service providers
- 1 - 3 years of experience with tradeshow and conference coordination
- Proven experience with marketing strategic planning based on sales goals
- Proven experience with date and metric reporting
- Bachelor’s degree is marketing related subject or equivalent working experience
- Expert knowledge of Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms)
- Expert knowledge of Google Analytics
- Knowledge of Salesforce, Adobe Suite, and Outreach
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Empathetic, enthusiastic and effective communicator with strong rapport building skills
- Ability to take ownership of the overall company strategic plan and implement across departments

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has supervisory responsibility of Marketing staff including employees and consultants..

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, exempt position, and regular hours of work and days to be worked are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.; however, this position can irregularly be required to work long hours and infrequent weekend work depending on the needs of the business.
Travel
Travel is primarily within the local San Diego area and 2 ~ 4 tradeshows to attend in a year Travel amount <25%
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
Must have an active driver’s license. Must submit to a background check as a contingency for the position.
