POSITION OVERVIEW
As the Marketing Coordinator for Riot Fest, you will play a pivotal role in executing strategic marketing initiatives to promote and elevate the festival's brand, drive ticket sales, and enhance overall attendee experience. You will collaborate closely with the creative team, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure the festival's marketing efforts align with its objectives and resonate with target audiences. The Marketing Coordinator will report to the Director of Marketing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans and campaigns to promote the music festival across various channels, including digital (social media, email marketing, website), traditional (print, radio), and grassroots marketing efforts
- Create compelling content for marketing materials, including but not limited to social media posts, email newsletters, advertisements, and website updates
- Coordinate with the creative team to produce high-quality marketing collateral that effectively communicates the festival's brand identity and key messages
- Manage social media accounts and online communities, engaging with followers, responding to inquiries, and fostering meaningful connections to drive ticket sales and enhance attendee engagement
- Collaborate with sponsors and partners to develop co-marketing initiatives and promotional activities that maximize exposure for both the festival and its sponsors
- Monitor and analyze marketing campaign performance using relevant metrics and analytics tools, providing regular reports and insights to inform future marketing strategies and optimizations
- Assist in coordinating on-site marketing activations and initiatives during the festival, including signage, branding, merchandise sales, and promotional activities
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in marketing, applying relevant insights to continuously improve the festival's marketing strategies and tactics
- Support the marketing and creative team with additional tasks and projects as needed, contributing to the overall success of the festival and its marketing efforts
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in the events, entertainment, or music industry
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, SEO, and PPC advertising
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content for diverse audiences
- Proficiency in using marketing analytics tools and platforms to track and measure campaign performance
- Creative thinker with a passion for music and events, capable of generating innovative marketing ideas and strategies
- Highly organized with strong project management skills, able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours during peak festival periods
