MISSION:
As Wantable's Director of Lifecycle & Retention Marketing, you'll spearhead initiatives to boost business growth and customer loyalty. Your role involves crafting personalized campaigns, collaborating with teams, and ensuring seamless channel execution. Your focus? Driving long-term value and retention while shaping the Wantable brand.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES:
- Increase customer list size (especially SMS) through targeted acquisition strategies, driving sustained growth in our customer base and meeting projected order targets and revenue goals
- Improve customer retention rates by implementing tailored lifecycle touchpoints that enhance engagement and build brand loyalty
- Monitor churn trends and implement proactive measures to mitigate customer attrition, ensuring a sustained increase in customer lifetime value
- Develop comprehensive lifecycle touchpoints that nurture customer relationships and drive ongoing engagement with the Wantable brand
- Enhance brand loyalty by delivering personalized experiences that resonate with our customers' unique preferences and tastes.
- Grow our private brands and e-commerce business alongside our Edit (personal styling) business, expanding our product offerings and revenue streams to meet the evolving needs of our customers
You will be responsible for creating the strategy and planning in partnership with the CMO, Director of Acquisition & Brand Activation, Director of Marketing & Brand, merchandising, IT, and the Creative Director. You'll have responsibility over the customer experience (not necessarily ownership of all the content) across the email, blog, organic social, mobile app, site (mobile & desktop), print channels, and other physical experiences such as in-box experiences. .
You will be responsible for ensuring marketing campaigns are driving qualified traffic, growth & revenue goals, and customer KPI's including overall program performance goals. You'll leverage iterative testing and data analysis. You should have a passion for CRM AND performance marketing and hitting KPIs. You have a proven track record for driving direct response digital marketing programs. You will manage with the CMO, the digital channels' forecasts and plans while developing, enhancing, and growing these channels through not only optimization efforts but also through championing and implementing new ideas and campaigns.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the development of comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns, aligning with Wantable's target order and revenue plans, long-term vision, and business priorities
- Lead the development of marketing strategies and campaigns to drive growth and awareness of Wantable's private brands and e-commerce business, alongside our Edit (personal styling) business
- Utilize customer data and feedback loops to inform the development of the SMS and Email channel strategies and personalized marketing initiatives and enhance the overall customer experience
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure seamless execution of marketing programs across multiple channels, including email, SMS as well as other retargeting or retention campaigns on-site or in other digital marketing channels
- Manage retention efforts, channel marketing budget, and prioritize key initiatives to maximize ROI and drive business impact
- Foster relationships with internal stakeholders, including Creative, Technology/Engineering, Merchandising, and Customer Service teams, to ensure alignment and collaboration across all aspects of the customer journey
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, identifying opportunities for innovation and differentiation within the marketplace
- Champion a customer-centric mindset within the organization, using data to drive insights and actionable strategies that elevate the Wantable brand as well as its private brands.
Requirements
- 7-10+ years of experience in e-commerce, preferably with a DTC Brand or in retail, with a strong track record of driving results
- Proficiency in email and SMS marketing platforms
- Strong copywriting skills for engaging messages
- Ability to segment and target audiences
- Knowledge of automation for streamlined campaigns
- Understanding of A/B testing for optimization
- Analytical skills for performance measurement
- Compliance knowledge for legal adherence
- Creativity in campaign design
- Customer-focused mindset for tailored messaging
- Retail, DTC and e-commerce experience is highly desirable, with a deep understanding of consumer behavior and market dynamics
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely
- Proficiency in Google Office Tools and project management tools (such as Asana) with a keen attention to detail and organization
- Passion for innovation and continuous improvement, with a desire to push the boundaries of what's possible in marketing and customer experience
