This role is full- time, requires a hybrid work schedule, and is only available in New York City.
Role Overview
Working alongside our EVP, the Director, Brand Experiences will be supported by and work closely with select Brand and Communications client teams on their campaigns and activations. The Director, Brand Experiences will also work together with our internal team to enhance Day One’s tentpole events, and create and execute on-site happenings for the agency.
This role will oversee all aspects of event production, from conception through on-site management for activations ranging from intimate media dinners to launch parties for big consumer brands. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of contacts and industry knowledge to our team from previous experience, will proactively seek new event spaces and vendors, and act as a valuable resource for experiential ideas and partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize creative, engaging activations for earned storytelling contributing scroll-stopping ideas to enhance the draw and excitement of the activation via vendors, talent, etc.
- Create overall event design and/vision in alignment with the brand aesthetic
- Lead client communications, packaging and presenting concepts
- Build and present comprehensive event decks to present to both internal teams and external clients
- Research, contact, and contract venues, vendors, restaurants, premiums, talent, and new event technology. for potential event use
- Conduct venue site checks, create floor plans, and work through audiovisual/tech needs
- Create event documents including shot lists, run of show, deliverables list, etc.
- Build, track, and manage event budgets as well as post-event reconciliation
- Traffic any necessary invoices and legal documents (COIs, contracts, etc.)
- Collaborate with account team on sponsor communication and approvals during the event planning phase
- Work with internal teams to develop creative, talent, and press needs for each event
- Attend events and act as on-site manager
- Coordinate and execute Day One’s larger on-site happenings including panel discussions and agency events
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in event planning and production
- Proven track record of successful event concepting and management
- Extreme attention to detail, organization and time management skills, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Experience working both autonomously to execute events and collaboratively with a larger team to stand-up activations Strong client communication skills
- Experience submitting and tracking invoices and payments
- Experience maintaining a pulse on cultural and experiential marketing and event trends
- Demonstrated resourcefulness, creativity, enthusiasm, and decisivenessExhibit a positive, can-do attitude and creative approach to problem solving

The Company is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation range for this role is $110,000-$145,000 and this position is eligible for benefits that include medical insurance (health, dental, and vision), retirement plan, paid time off, paid parental leave, new business and employee referral bonuses, etc. Please note that the compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for New York City based hires only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Pay Transparency Law. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as candidates' relevant work experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
