TITLE: Events and Marketing Coordinator

We provide vital resources to organizations and individuals working to grow food in their communities, including grants, gardening materials and supplies, training, and community.
About the Position
If you are excited about bringing our mission to life through both in-person events and marketing campaigns, this is the role for you! The Events and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the planning, organizing, and executing events while supporting the overall marketing strategy of our organization.
This role will participate in the coordination of all aspects of event logistics, as well as creating and updating marketing materials and managing social media accounts. They will work closely across functions to ensure events and marketing efforts align with programmatic objectives, brand guidelines, and organizational objectives. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills to successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Support the production of Big Green events by sourcing material, managing local vendors, creating event documents, and executing on-site.
- Support planning and travel logistics for Big Green Bus.
- Manage the production, printing, and distribution of collateral for events and other campaigns/projects.
- Create content including graphics, newsletters, blog posts, and social posts in support of our marketing campaigns.
- Manage Big Green social media and analytics including posting, engagement/interaction, trend monitoring, and performance metrics.
- Organize and maintain our digital asset library and online resources.
- Support collateral updates in Wordpress, Canva and/or Adobe Suite.
- Acquiring, organizing, and submitting vendor contracts, W9s, and invoices.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of professional experience in events, marketing, fundraising, volunteer management, or nonprofit programs.
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Experience in Canva, Buffer, Wordpress, Google Analytics, Meta Advertising, Mailchimp, Adobe Suite a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to travel nationally up to 10%.
- A passion for our mission and a desire to create opportunity in food and health across the country.
Salary Range
$40,000 - $60,000, dependent on experience
