Our client is seeking a visionary VP of Sales & Marketing to lead our brand and growth strategy. You will be a strategic leader with a proven track record of success in building and inspiring high-performing teams.
In this dynamic role, you will:
Brand Leadership & Strategy:
- Strategic Planning: Develop a data-driven marketing strategy and plan aligned with overall company goals, ensuring consistent brand messaging and positioning.
- Brand Development: Define and enhance the brand's positioning, messaging, and identity, ensuring brand consistency and high-quality aesthetic runs across all channels and touchpoints. You will be the owner of the brand and primary customer advocate. Lead and manage the creative team to drive projects from conceptualization to finished product.
- Website Management: Lead team and agencies to ensure optimal customer journey and conversion on madebymary.com. Ensure brand messaging and brand identity is consistent across the website. Prioritize roadmap for testing and improvement of conversion to drive revenue.
- Performance Analysis and Attribution: Utilize analytics and KPIs to measure marketing performance, optimize campaigns, and identify areas for improvement. You must be data obsessed in your marketing recommendations and decision making.
Sales & Channel Expansion:
- Lead the development and execution of a multi-channel sales strategy to maximize revenue across existing retail and online channels.
- Lead team focused on wholesale and corporate gifting to diversify company revenue.
- Build and manage high-performing sales teams, fostering collaboration and achieving ambitious sales goals.
- Spearhead the development and implementation of a wholesale strategy to expand brand presence and secure valuable partnerships.
- Develop and execute a corporate gifting program to create new revenue streams and build brand loyalty.
Customer Acquisition & Growth:
- Customer Acquisition: Drive customer growth through targeted and effective acquisition campaigns across various channels such as digital advertising, social media, email, sms, SEO, influencer partnerships, and some traditional advertising.
- Retention and Loyalty: Develop initiatives to enhance customer retention and increase lifetime value.
- Product Marketing: Collaborate with product teams to launch new collections effectively, develop compelling product narratives, and create marketing campaigns that highlight product uniqueness and value proposition.
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing marketing, creative, and sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous growth.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, ensuring alignment between sales, marketing, and brand goals.
- Communicate effectively and with passion, inspiring teams to achieve ambitious goals.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Partnerships and Collaborations: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and collaborations to amplify brand reach and engagement.
- Budget Management: Manage and allocate the marketing budget effectively, ensuring maximum ROI across various marketing channels and campaigns.
- Actively manage agencies to ensure optimal spend and channel allocations.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- 10+ years of experience in sales and marketing leadership, preferably within the jewelry industry.
- Proven track record of growing revenue and market share through effective strategy and team development.
- Strong understanding of brand building, marketing channels, and customer acquisition strategies.
- Experience leading and managing high-performing sales teams.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage wholesale and corporate gifting programs.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with a collaborative leadership style.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Experience with building and managing e-commerce platforms.
- Knowledge of the jewelry industry trends and customer preferences.
