Our client is hiring a Creative Director to lead the creative and marketing vision for their cannabis brand. This role will oversee all creative efforts, including product launches, go-to-market strategies, and event activations, driving brand differentiation and consumer engagement. The ideal candidate has a strong background in creative direction within a regulated industry, a deep understanding of cannabis culture, and experience managing diverse marketing campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
• Creative Leadership: Lead and inspire the creative team in developing innovative marketing strategies for product launches, campaigns, and brand development across all channels.
• Brand & Marketing Strategy: Drive brand differentiation and positioning, aligning creative assets with business goals and market trends. Collaborate on go-to-market strategies and event activations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, sales, and operations teams to ensure cohesive branding and communication across all touchpoints.
• Campaign Execution: Oversee the creation and execution of digital, social media, and traditional marketing campaigns, ensuring consistency and alignment with the brand’s values.
• Event Activations: Lead the creative vision for event-based marketing strategies, including pop-ups, community events, and trade shows.
• Team Management: Supervise a team of designers, copywriters, and marketing professionals. Foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Budget Oversight: Manage creative and marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery without compromising on quality.
Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience in creative direction or marketing in a highly regulated industry, preferably cannabis, CPG, or wellness.
• Proven track record in leading successful product launches and multi-channel marketing campaigns.
• Strong understanding of cannabis regulations and culture.
• Experience in event-based marketing and consumer engagement strategies.
• Ability to balance creative vision with business objectives.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience with cannabis brands or in the cannabis industry.
• Experience in digital and social media strategy.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or other creative software.
