DIRECTOR OF MARKETING (CPG / FOOD & BEV)
Location: Boston, MA and/or Stratham, NH
Hybrid Schedule: 2x days in Boston, ideally Thursdays in Stratham, NH
Salary: $137K-$178K
Timeline for hire: 3 interviews, but will be expedited - hire ideally by Mid November
NOTE: In order to consider the most highly qualified candidates, relocation assistance to the Boston area is available. No consideration will be given to those not in the area or willing to relocate.
Position Overview
The Director of Marketing will lead one of three major food categories within a global brand, with a direct line over two Brand Managers, dotted lines over two others, and reporting to the North American Head of Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the marketing strategy, brand/portfolio success while providing team leadership and operational success for their dedicated CPG/food line.
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to drive sales and increase brand equity in the CPG sector - this could include print, web, digital, social, OOH, influencer, partnerships, video / broadcast, and more.
- Oversee all aspects of brand management to ensure consistent messaging and positioning across all channels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing strategies with product development and sales objectives.
- Analyze market trends and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth and innovation in products and marketing campaigns.
- Lead and mentor the team, fostering a culture of creativity and performance.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and make data-driven adjustments as necessary.
- Manage external agencies and vendors as well as internal teams on execution of integrated consumer and trade marketing campaigns
- Identify and lead opportunities for brand innovation / new product launch.
- Help in the overall effort to increase internal efficiencies and further enhance marcom tech stack/integration.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in brand management within the CPG industry.
- Prior director-level brand experience for global CPG company.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven track record in developing and executing successful brand marketing strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
- Excellent leadership, communication, presentation and team management skills.
