What You Will Do
The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Marketing will play a vital role in developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives that drive business growth and enhance brand awareness. This position requires a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a proven track record of success in marketing leadership. The AVP will oversee a team of marketing professionals, manage marketing budgets, and collaborate closely with other departments to achieve company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies aligned with overall business goals. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and inform decision-making.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team. Provide guidance, support, and performance feedback to foster a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- Budget Management: Manage and optimize marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment.
- Campaign Execution: Oversee the execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, email, content marketing, public relations and in-store POS.
- Brand Management: Maintain brand consistency and integrity across all marketing activities, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines.
- Performance Measurement: Track, analyze, and report on key marketing metrics to assess campaign effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Provide regular updates to senior management.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with sales, education, product development, and other departments to ensure alignment and achieve shared goals.
- Innovation and Best Practices: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies. Identify and implement innovative marketing strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
Required Qualifications
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10-15+ years of progressive experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Hair and/or beauty industry experience preferred.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with marketing analytics tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across various functional areas of the business.
- Experience managing budgets and resources effectively.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and content marketing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to travel domestically periodically (25%)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with a distributor network is preferred.
