Job Overview
We are actively seeking a highly strategic and experienced VP of Marketing to join our executive leadership team. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead initiatives aimed at driving unit sales, managing impactful promotional campaigns, enhancing customer loyalty programs, and fostering community engagement. You will also oversee key business development activities, email marketing, social media strategies, and the performance of external agencies. Effective communication across your team, leadership peers, and stakeholders will be essential to your success.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement & Loyalty: Create and evaluate programs designed to increase customer return rates through rewards and membership initiatives.
- Sales Strategy: Formulate and implement a robust sales strategy that aligns with our business objectives and responds to current market trends.
- Lead Generation: Direct multi-channel marketing efforts, including social media, public relations, and community events, to elevate brand visibility and generate leads.
- Goal Setting & Strategy Development: Collaborate with the sales department to establish ambitious goals and create actionable plans to meet revenue targets across locations.
- Team Development: Attract, train, and motivate high-performing sales teams, fostering a culture that prioritizes excellence and results.
- Revenue Growth: Propel both B2B and B2C sales initiatives to achieve revenue targets while expanding market presence and enhancing customer retention.
- Customer Relationships: Build and maintain key client relationships, negotiate significant contracts, and identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Process Optimization: Enhance sales operations and ensure efficient processes for accurate forecasting and effective pipeline management.
- Data Analysis: Examine sales metrics to monitor performance, identify trends, and provide data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment of sales efforts with overarching business goals.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct ongoing research on market and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge and adaptability to industry shifts.
- Sales Enablement: Design training programs and resources that empower the sales team to engage effectively with customers and close deals.
Required Skills
- Proven track record in sales or marketing leadership roles, ideally as a VP of Marketing, VP of Sales, or similar position.
- Strong leadership qualities to inspire and drive sales teams to outstanding performance.
- Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making abilities and strong strategic thinking capabilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for building relationships and effectively negotiating with stakeholders.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and experience in sales operations; familiarity with tools such as Triple Seat, Toast, and HubSpot is preferred.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Qualifications
- An Associate’s, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is desirable; however, relevant experience and accomplishments are equally important.
- Demonstrated success in a VP of Marketing, VP of Sales, or similar capacity, ideally within hospitality, restaurant, or service industries, with significant multi-unit and multi-market experience being highly regarded.
