THE ROLE
We are looking for a savvy, creative and highly-motivated Social Media Intern to support our organic social strategy across platforms. You'll work closely with the marketing team to maximize our social presence and drive brand awareness. The ideal candidate is a scrappy and dependable self-starter, skilled in content creation, branding, and visual aesthetics. You’re comfortable on camera, have a pulse on trends and beauty, and are obsessed with all things social media. This part-time role is open to remote work or based at our HQ in New York City.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Work closely with social team to execute brand strategy and grow our social media presence across organic platforms including Tiktok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Youtube and more.
- Support day-to-day operations across all organic social channels: social calendar management, content creation, influencer program, and social posting.
- Actively source and manage partnerships with external content creators and influencers; own all communication, contract negotiations, content approvals, creative briefs and invoicing.
- Produce native content for Tiktok, Reels and other channels. Create and edit short-form videos using tools like CapCut, optimizing for engagement.
- Post across platforms; assist with everything from brainstorming concepts to visual asset development, copywriting, and operations.
- Conduct ongoing industry research and content analysis to stay informed and on top of trends and changes in the social content landscape.
- Source and organize visual content (photo, video, GIFs) by specific brand content buckets.
- Assist in executing on social-related ops and logistics such as gifting programs, social boosting, ideation, and more.
WHO YOU ARE
- Student or recent graduate at a high caliber university.
- Strongly preferred: deep understanding of TikTok and experience in TikTok and social media content creation. Ideally, comfortable being on-camera.
- Strongly preferred: experience with visual design (i.e., Canva, Photoshop).
- Strongly preferred: Strong copywriting ability and/or experience.
- Motivated, hard-working self-starter who lives for all things social media.
- Brand-minded and can quickly adapt to our brand voice and aesthetic.
- Outstanding communication; interpersonal, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Passionate about social media, pop culture and beauty.
- Organized and detail-oriented; ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- A “no-job-is-below-me” attitude; always willing to go the extra mile.
