In-Market Marketing Manager, Harmony, Rodale, and Convergent Books (Hybrid)
The Random House Publishing Group is seeking a creative and results-driven In-Market Marketing Manager to join the Harmony, Rodale and Convergent team. This role focuses on sustaining sales, expanding distribution, and finding new audiences for both frontlist and core backlist titles after the initial launch campaign is completed. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovative marketing, a deep understanding of the nonfiction market, and a proven ability to execute successful marketing campaigns. Harmony, Rodale, and Convergent Books are three distinct industry leaders in publishing prescriptive narrative non-fiction, self-improvement, health, wellness, spirituality, parenting, business empowerment, illustrated food and lifestyle books. Based in New York, Harmony, Rodale, and Convergent are part of Penguin Random House, LLC, the world's largest general trade book publisher.
This position has in-office responsibilities such as attending author and agent meetings as well as team and strategy meetings. We will consider candidates who can work from a commutable distance from our offices at 1745 Broadway, which includes the tri-state area (NJ, CT, & PA).

The Role:
- Develop and Execute Marketing Campaigns: Create and implement innovative marketing campaigns for a diverse range of titles across genres to generate awareness and drive sales.
- Advertising Plans: Develop comprehensive advertising plans for assigned titles, collaborating on ad copy and direction to ensure effective messaging.
- Influencer Marketing: Strategize and execute influencer marketing plans, including influencer boxes, book club outreach, sweepstakes, partnerships, and content development.
- Social Media Promotions: Develop and manage organic and paid promotions across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok to engage audiences and promote titles.
- Sales Communication: Effectively communicate marketing plans to the sales team to secure increased distribution and support.
- Budget Management: Manage budgets to ensure cost-effective use of resources.
- Performance Analysis: Present learnings and insights to inform future strategies and campaigns.
The Essentials:
- 3-5 years of marketing experience, preferably within the publishing industry or in the wellness or lifestyle marketing space.
- Proven history of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative thinker with a passion for books and a deep understanding of the market.
- Experience with performance analysis.
- Technical proficiency with Canva, Powerpoint, Excel, and database management systems
The salary for this position is $70,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.
