The
Director of Marketing & Communications leads Sevan’s internal marketing & communications team and drives strategic marketing and sales initiatives. This key strategic leader is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that enhance our brand presence, foster client relationships, and support growth across our key sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in marketing strategy, execution, customer relationship management (CRM), and brand management within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance Sevan's market presence, drive brand growth, support business development goals, and grow client market share.
- Team Leadership: Oversee and lead an internal marketing & communications team, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation. Prioritize team development and establish processes for continuous improvement.
- Digital Marketing & CRM Oversight: Oversee digital marketing efforts and optimize CRM tools (Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE) to drive lead generation, track sales activities, and enhance client engagement.
- Content Creation & Events: Guide the creation of compelling content for proposals, presentations, social media, and digital platforms. Plan and execute Sevan's presence at key industry trade shows, conferences, and events to maximize market visibility, engagement, and lead acquisition.
- Internal Communications: Develop and manage effective internal communications strategies to foster organizational alignment and employee engagement across various departments.
- Brand Management: Ensure consistency and strength in Sevan’s brand messaging, digital presence, and market positioning across all channels and materials, positioning Sevan as a real estate and AEC industry leader in existing and new markets.
- Performance Tracking: Establish and implement key metrics for tracking the effectiveness and ROI of marketing and client outreach campaigns, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
- Client & Business Development Collaboration: Work with client leaders on key client development plans. Use planning to enhance and/or implement marketing strategies for key clients & sectors. Manage 360 client feedback interviews. Partner closely with the business development and sales teams to align marketing efforts with sales objectives, ensuring a unified go-to-market approach and an effective lead-nurturing process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in marketing leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of market trends, digital marketing strategies, and emerging technologies within the AEC industry highly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing integrated marketing strategies, including internal and external communications, brand management, and large-scale event coordination.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred) and marketing automation platforms, with experience driving data-driven marketing initiatives and sales enablement processes.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to lead diverse, high-performing marketing communications teams.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Experience in multi-site and/or large-scale construction project marketing and business development is a plus.
This position is based out of our Downers Grove, IL headquarters. A highly collaborative in-office environment that flourishes when individual and team contributions combine to achieve target goals and objectives. The workplace is dynamic, fast-paced, and flexible. Travel on an as needed basis (10-25%).
