Manager, Marketing & Advertising
Position Summary
The Marketing and Advertising Manager will support the planning, execution, and ongoing management of all marketing and advertising efforts for the Colorado Rockies organization. This role will assist in developing strategies to grow the fan base, increase ticket sales, maximize return on investment (ROI), and strengthen brand loyalty across all campaigns.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Strategy Development: Collaborate with the marketing team and ticketing stakeholders to create a season-long marketing strategy that aligns with the overall goals and objectives of the organization.
- Ticket Sales Alignment: Work closely with the ticket sales team to ensure marketing efforts are in sync with ticketing and revenue goals, including single-game ticket sales strategies and fan engagement initiatives to maximize ROI and drive fan loyalty.
- Campaign Execution: Manage the execution of marketing initiatives, ensuring successful placement and delivery of assets across all channels with the external media agency.
- Media Coordination: Oversee media trafficking for TV and radio, including the sizing and uploading creatives, and updating traffic rotation documents.
- Channel Management: Ensure timely and accurate distribution of marketing materials across traditional and digital channels, including radio, TV, print, out-of-home (OOH), digital, and paid social media.
- Digital Marketing Collaboration: Manage digital campaigns in partnership with Major League Baseball (MLB), including negotiating budgets and ensuring optimal ticket sales and revenue generation.
- Content Creation: Write and deliver copy for in-stadium messaging, radio/TV broadcasters, and TV advertisements to engage fans and promote team-related content.
- Creative Oversight: Collaborate with the club’s design team to ensure all creative elements align with campaign objectives and are delivered on schedule.
Other Duties/Responsibilities
- Team Support: As needed, assist in all areas of the Ticketing department, including event coordination, marketing initiatives, and administrative tasks.
- Manage and maintain the Marketing departmental budget.
- Website Management: Assist with website updates, track discrepancies, and create marketing assets in compliance with MLB guidelines.
- Data Analysis: Work with the Ticket Technology team to analyze ticket sales data and evaluate the performance of marketing campaigns.
- Research & Reporting: Provide insights into research and analysis to management, offering recommendations on target marketing strategies to drive ticket sales.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure internal teams and external media partners adhere to consistent design elements and messaging for brand cohesion.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in advertising, creative development, promotions, ad copywriting, and campaign creation.
- Preferred BS/BA degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business, or a related field, and/or combination of years of experience in related field or
- Experience with media planning and buying across TV, radio, OOH, digital, and paid social channels.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong team collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities, proven to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Exceptional time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- High standards of professionalism, integrity, and work ethic. Ability to represent the organization with professionalism and a positive demeanor.

Physical Job Requirements
This position requires a combination of office and on-site work, including occasional physical demands during events or promotional activities. The physical requirements of the role include the following:
- Sitting/Standing: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while attending meetings, managing projects, and overseeing marketing initiatives.
- Walking: Ability to walk within the office, event spaces, and stadium to coordinate with teams, check on marketing materials, and attend meetings or events. Occasional walking and moving between different stadium areas may be required for on-site events.
- Lifting/Carrying: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds for various marketing materials such as signage, promotional items, or equipment. Occasional lifting may be required for on-site event set up.
- Climbing: Occasional ability to use stairs or ramps to access elevated areas, such as during event setup or when working in elevated suites or press areas.
- Repetitive Motion: Extended use of a computer or mobile device for content creation, digital marketing management, and communication may require repetitive motion, including typing and mouse use.
- Visual and Auditory Acuity: Ability to read digital and printed materials, view creative assets, and review content for accuracy. Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and through video conferencing.
- Event-Related Physical Requirements: The role may require mobility around the stadium and interaction with guests or colleagues during large events or games. You may also be required to assist with the setup and breakdown of event-related materials, which may involve lifting and carrying materials or walking long distances.
- Traveling: Ability to travel to external media meetings or away games when necessary.
Work Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Some extended hours or weekend work may be required based on campaign and event schedules.
- This is an onsite job working at Coors Field.

Compensation And Benefits
- Annual salary range of $65,000 - $75,000. This is a regular status, full-time position.
- As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, job-related skills, and any other factors the Colorado Rockies consider relevant to the hiring decision for this position.
