Astra Content is recruiting for a Thought Leadership & Messaging Lead on behalf of the marketing department of a global technology company. The company's marketing team aims to reach and engage advertisers and agencies around the world and show them the magic of their media platform and how they drive results for their brands.
The Thought Leadership & Messaging Lead will be responsible for crafting core narratives and bringing them to life at key moments through original thought leadership and a comprehensive cross-team content strategy, including:
- Developing messaging strategy, core narratives and content drumbeat
- Owning and activating content, including speeches, articles, internal messaging sources of truth, white papers, trends reports across owned, industry and cultural moments
- Establishing content marketing best practices and providing an editorial resource to the broader marketing team

Who you are. You have a powerful track record of producing high-quality content in many formats. No two days at this company are alike so you're ready to write for a range of projects, from executive speeches to articles to value proposition explorations. To succeed, you'll need to crisply and compellingly summarize technical and business concepts in ways that make the company’s messages known, understood, and felt. You should love learning about the technology behind the products used by billions of people. You excel as a collaborator, and will gladly work with teammates, leaders, and internal partners in PR, marketing, policy and legal to keep the company’s customers engaged and informed.
What you’ll do.
- Think in fresh ways about how brands can use the company’s technology to build their businesses
- Write executive speeches, blog posts, presentations and compelling thought leadership pieces
- Work with cross-functional product marketing, regional marketing, research and PR teams to make sure their content reflects consumer insights and key product points
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years editorial or copywriting experience
Preferred Qualifications
- A passion for writing and outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Ability to deliver content on time and to precise specifications in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Strong, relevant portfolio of writing samples
- Deep understanding of the marketing and digital fields
- Ability to think, plan and execute on multiple projects at once
- Former business or marketing journalist with big-league experience
- New York-city area highly preferred but other US locations possible
