SENIOR CREATIVE STRATEGIST
TILT is looking for a senior creative strategist to join our growing strategy team. This role would shape advertising relevance at TILT — translating brand strategy and illuminating cultural trends into meaningful creative across campaigns, digital, and social activations.

Job Summary
Provide day-to-day strategic guidance and expertise on brand-led advertising and activation. Creates briefs, strategies, POVs, presentations, research reports, and other strategic deliverables. Works closely with clients, creative, and account teams to create remarkable work that’s on-strategy. Translates brand strategy into creative inspiration. Works closely with the Account team to strategically guide clients and present briefs and strategies.
Preferred Work Experience
6+ years in brand/advertising strategy with an understanding of account strategy and management in a creative or brand agency environment
Responsibilities
- Transform the chaos of client objectives, audience needs/desires and market dynamics into clear creative briefs that spark the creative process
- Examine clients’ businesses to get to know their brands, understand their objectives and create cohesive plans for successful campaigns
- Own and lead clients through YOY brand evolution, change, and expression through their advertising. Be their champion, support, and partner as they embark on big creative — building trust and courage hand-in-hand
- Uncover unique and unexpected insights about clients, consumers and culture
- Package research and rationale into inspiration for creative teams and strategic direction for our clients
- Understand the fundamentals of brand strategy and its role in creative activation
- Clearly articulate complex ideas into easily understandable and actionable direction that can be translated in multiple formats (briefs, presentations, feedback, etc.) for multiple audiences (creative, account, client, c-suite leadership)
- Ignite curiosity across the creative team with your briefs, working with deep creative empathy and engaging them across cultural, social, and audience opportunities
- Manage executive-level client presentations, shaping not only creative briefs, but the rationale and client context to ensure a campaign’s buy-in and success. Build courage with clients through hands-on partnership and communication
- Have an opinion that challenges traditional ways of thinking with new ideas, strategic insights and moving stories
- Monitor and assess campaign effectiveness
Knowledge Requirements
- Creative strategy: campaign brief writing, strategic thinking, cultural analysis
- Deck creation & presentation: strong written & narrative skills; confident presenting work
- Client leadership: strong account presence, courage-building, and proactive planning
- Creative collaboration: confidence working with and inspiring creative teams
- Experience with research design, methods and analysis of qualitative/quantitative research
- Health-related and/or B2B experience a plus
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets)
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Marketing/Advertising, Business, Communications, Social Science, etc.) or equivalent course / work experience

TILT operates a professional office environment. Employees routinely use standard office equipment. Employees are occasionally required to sit and balance for extended periods of time. Employees can lift/move 10 up to 25 lbs.
Employee Benefits Offered
Salary Range for this position is $110,000-$130,000 annually, paid on a semi-monthly basis.
Preferred location: Detroit, MI
(if located in the Detroit area, this role would require 3 days/week in office)
