Job Description
This is an exciting time to join Visa's U.S. Marketing Services team, as we strengthen our focus on developing new partnerships and deepening relationships with established Issuers, Group Service Providers, and Processors.
As part of the U.S. Marketing Services team, the
Marketing Coordinator, Business Development, U.S. Client Marketing Community Issuers, Group Service Providers, and Processors will support the development, sell-in and program management of client programs that optimize the use of Visa marketing platforms/initiatives.
This Coordinator is responsible for supporting partnership relationships with Visa’s issuer, processor and group service provider clients, and building best-in-class co-marketing plans that support business goals for both Visa and its clients. This position fills a key role in our expanded focus on business development efforts in the Community space.
The U.S. Client Marketing team, part of the overall North America Marketing organization, is transforming how we partner with clients to drive engagement, through a proactive and results driven marketing approach. As part of the team, the Marketing Coordinator, Business Development, will be responsible for a supporting role in prospecting, pricing, and selling in marketing solutions for Visa’s issuer/GSP/Processor clients, while also working closely with the Marketing Delivery team on oversight of program execution and management. The Marketing Coordinator, Business Development will engage partner teams across Visa with oversight of execution on marketing programs to help grow our clients’ payment card business and support in driving incremental client and Visa revenue.
The Marketing Coordinator must be able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving and highly matrixed environment. You are results-oriented, flexible, and have a “can do”, positive attitude. Additionally, you possess a strong track record in working collaboratively with internal team members, stakeholders and external clients. You should be detail oriented and will be responsible for support in planning marketing strategies and partnership initiatives to grow Visa’s business with Visa’s clients, through the activation of Visa marketing analyses, platforms/initiatives and strategic use of Visa’s sponsorship assets. In addition, you should be confident in communicating directly with clients through conference calls, video conferences, or in-person meetings. You will support important administrative functions across multiple platforms including managing budgets, using Visa tools & applications and financial reporting.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 2 or more years of marketing and project management experience with a bachelor's degree or Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- You have prior experience in business development
- You have prior experience in designing and executing multichannel marketing campaigns (i.e., paid social, search engine marketing, paid social, email, direct mail etc.) across the marketing lifecycle (acquisition, usage, retention, loyalty)
- You have prior experience in managing agency partner relationships as part of client program development
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- Your work experience is closely related to marketing and project management
- Team player with experience coordinating cross functional, end-to-end projects that included a high level of detail and ability to ensure project deadlines and budgets are met
- Self-motivated and proactive in asking questions / proposing solutions
- Strong process orientation: able to create processes from scratch and able to identify and drive continuous improvements
- Highly proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint: you’re comfortable managing spreadsheets, devising formulas, creating pivot tables, and performing data analysis, while also building executive and client presentations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, you create visually clear, concise, and insightful work product and are comfortable presenting to senior leaders
- A relationship builder who earns the trust and rapport of partners at multiple levels
- Ability to thrive in high pressure situations and a fast paced and matrixed environment while being level-headed under pressure
- Comfortable juggling multiple projects and quick to adapt to shifting priorities
- Ability and initiative to self-manage when necessary and ability to multitask to support multiple efforts as needed
- Experience running meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance and process correctness of projects to adhere to Visa key controls and brand standards
- Digital marketing experience a plus

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 89,900 to 121,600 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
