PURPOSE STATEMENT
Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the Vice President (VP), Sales, Marketing/Communications, & Sustainable Growth, is a key driver in advancing the organization's sales growth and operational excellence. This role prioritizes expanding customer markets and optimizing business processes to achieve strategic objectives, particularly in renewable and clean energy initiatives. The VP is responsible for leading revenue-generating activities through the development and execution of sales strategies, identifying market opportunities, and driving new business growth.
With oversight of strategic sales initiatives, this role ensures the implementation of scalable, efficient processes that enhance the customer journey, from initial engagement to ongoing satisfaction. The VP champions data-driven insights to refine customer experience strategies, improve process efficiency, and deliver superior value propositions. Emphasis is placed on aligning sales processes with organizational goals and maintaining a customer-centric approach across all channels.
As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), the VP combines financial stewardship with strategic leadership to drive innovation and continuous improvement across sales and marketing operations. The role also includes fostering collaboration among stakeholders, developing performance metrics, and advancing a culture of accountability and results-driven execution. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven leader with a proven track record in sales, strategy, and customer engagement within the energy sector. A bachelor’s degree is required, with a preference for a master’s degree. The candidate should bring 10+ years of experience in driving revenue growth, identifying market opportunities, and leading high-performing teams. Expertise in strategic planning, market expansion, and customer-centric solutions is essential, along with strong leadership, commercial acumen, and the ability to foster innovation and collaboration. Experience in renewable energy and private equity-backed environments is highly valued.
