Summary:
The Creative Manager will lead and oversee a team of designers while also being hands-on in the creation and execution of innovative designs. This role requires a strong ability to conceptualize and deliver creative assets, from initial idea to final execution, while ensuring high-quality, on-brand designs. The ideal candidate will balance leadership and creativity, guiding a team while maintaining a hands-on approach to design projects across multiple platforms. This is primarily a desk/office environment job role but will require visits to casino-resort and tavern properties occasionally for site visits, photo shoots, and other business and creative needs.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Create and design material in line with property and corporate expectations, for multiple casino-resort properties and 70+ taverns
- Produce and/or supervise the production of advertising and collateral materials for various properties with differing brand standards
- Oversee and review final deliverables from designers and production artists, including copy, ensuring designs and elements are consistent with campaigns, demographics and brand standards
- Work in high-volume department managing multiple projects at the same time while maintaining a positive work environment
- Supervise, support, and develop a team of graphic and multimedia designers, providing guidance, feedback, and fostering a collaborative, innovative work environment
- Manage the end-to-end design process, from initial concept to final deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and at high quality
- Review and critique designs to maintain high creative standards and ensure alignment with the creative vision and brand guidelines
- Maintain and enforce brand standards across all creative outputs, ensuring consistency in visual identity across platforms and touchpoints
- Participate in the process of concepting creative in all mediums when required, including professional communications with other Golden Entertainment departments, and internal Account Coordination, Production and Property Marketing teams
- Plan, allocate resources, and manage timelines and budgets, balancing creative priorities with operational requirements
- Identify opportunities to streamline design workflows, improve collaboration, and enhance the creative process for greater efficiency and quality
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, training, policies and procedures, including Title 31 and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications
- 7+ years creative design experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity
- Demonstrated problem solving abilities with creative, out of the box solutions
- Experience analyzing processes and procedures and developing corrections and/or new SOPs to make area of review more efficient and effective
- Thorough understanding and applied skills within the advertising industry and marketing principles, including traditional media, emerging media, LED signage, photography, videography, social media, etc.
- Well-honed leadership skills to make department management decisions and elevate decisions to senior leadership when needed
- Demonstrate excellent grammar, spelling, proofreading and punctuation skills and knowledge with a keen attention to detail in all written communications.
- Previous experience managing multiple brand standards at the same time preferred
- Proven experience providing high level of guest service, including service and communications with and to internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Highly skilled experience in Adobe Illustrator, Figma, Photoshop, or similar design platform required
- Experience working in project management system required (e.g., Workfront, Workamajig, or similar)
- Experience working within and administering asset management systems, internal servers, and other creative management systems
- Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system
- At least 21 Years of Age
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
- Verify right to work in the United States
