Job Summary

This role leads global master brand marketing communications, including agency management, budgeting, and regional alignment, partnering cross-functionally with global, regional and country marketing teams, as well as other functions including Key Account Customer Marketing, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, Corporate Communications, Digital, and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

1. Strategic Brand Management

Focuses on the overarching company (CVI) brand vision and architecture.

  • Leads efforts to define and communicate the Masterbrand “Why” – our purpose and value proposition to the marketplace.
  • Develops and governs global brand architecture and positioning strategy.
  • Ensures consistent brand identity and messaging across all channels, regions, and product brands.

2. Integrated Communications & Storytelling

Combines strategic positioning with campaign execution and messaging.

  • Drives CooperVision’s brand positioning with key messaging and distinct identity.
  • Aligns external storytelling with Master Brand across functions (e.g., Professional Affairs, product launches, campaigns).
  • Develops toolkits and communication assets for global initiatives – ensuring audience and channel segmentation is considered.
  • Responsible for compliance of all materials (created by the role holder), taking into account approval protocols/ MLR (Medical, Legal, Regulatory) process sign offs.

3. Public Relations & Corporate Reputation

Dedicated to earned media, executive visibility, and reputation management – positioning CooperVision as an innovator and thought-leader in the category.

  • Executes global PR strategies to build brand reputation and thought leadership.
  • Manages global PR agency relationships and supports regional storytelling.
  • Prepares communications for high-stakes moments (e.g., product announcements, ESG reports, crises).
  • Amplifies sustainability initiatives through earned and owned media.
  • Partners with internal stakeholders to proactively manage reputation risks and prepare crisis communication protocols.
  • Owns KPI measurement – e.g., media coverage, brand equity scores, campaign engagement.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership

Highlights the role’s influence across teams and geographies.

  • Fosters strong cross-functional relationships to ensure global strategies are locally relevant and scalable.
  • Partners with brand managers to provide guidance and tools to ensure market-appropriate master claims and narratives are provided.
  • Shares materials and best practices across markets to strengthen marketing excellence.
  • Aligns messaging and objectives with CVI and CHQ leadership teams.

Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive marketing experience in brand, marketing communications, public relations.
  • Experience driving marketing strategies that elevate brand equity.
  • Proven ability to manage agencies, and high-performing global teams.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
