We are seeking a Marketing Content Manager for our Walnut Creek, CA office – a role perfect for a former advisor, planner, or finance professional ready to transition into a creative, collaborative marketing career. You will transform complex financial concepts into clear, engaging content and collaborate with financial advisors, subject matter experts, and the Marketing Leadership Team. Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 plus annual bonus.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop content supporting the full client journey—from prospecting and onboarding to education and long-term engagement.
- Translate technical topics (tax planning, retirement strategies, estate planning, investments) into accessible, engaging narratives.
- Ensure all content reflects a deep understanding of client needs and aligns with the firm’s experience standards.
- Partner with advisors and internal experts to gather insights and validate accuracy.
- Collaborate with the Client Experience and Marketing Services teams to produce polished, on-brand deliverables.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and creative planning across teams.
- Produce and refine marketing materials such as brochures, sales presentations, one-pagers, pitch decks, web copy, and educational resources.
- Help maintain an up-to-date centralized library of marketing materials.
- Support firmwide initiatives, including campaigns, events, and thought leadership projects.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, or advisory services.
- Active or lapsed FINRA Series 65/66 or CFP® designation is highly desired.
- Strong writing and content development skills with the ability to simplify complex financial information.
- Interest in and openness to learning new marketing, communication, and client experience strategies.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace).
- Experience with creative production workflows (design, review, approvals) and digital marketing best practices (SEO, email marketing, CMS).
- A natural storyteller with the ability to translate technical content into clear, benefit-driven messaging.
- A team player who enjoys learning from others and is motivated to grow in a dynamic environment.
