About The Role

This is a true executive leadership opportunity — not a title upgrade. The company is seeking a proven Chief Marketing Officer who has already led a $100M+ CPG brand through the transition from DTC to omnichannel retail, and understands how to architect the creative, growth, and operational backbone needed to scale toward $250M+.

This leader will oversee the entire marketing function: Brand, Growth, Retention/Lifecycle, Content, Community, and Retail Marketing. The role reports directly to the CEO and partners closely with the President on operational execution and resource planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own brand positioning, creative direction, and storytelling across all channels (DTC, retail, OOH, influencer, PR)
  • Architect a high-velocity, performance-driven growth engine across paid media, social, affiliate, influencer, and UGC
  • Build and lead a world-class retention team across CRM, lifecycle, email/SMS, subscription, and post-purchase
  • Oversee an internal content engine producing hundreds of assets monthly
  • Lead omnichannel retail strategy including shopper marketing, field marketing, and retail media
  • Design a 12–18 month org roadmap, including headcount planning, leadership hiring, and team structure
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and President across company narrative, growth priorities, and brand-defining moments

What Success Looks Like (12 Months)

  • Marketing organization operating across all major pillars with clear accountability
  • CAC efficiency maintained with LTV expansion
  • UGC and content engine producing 100–150+ high-performing assets per month
  • National retail launches executed successfully with strong sell-through
  • Revenue progressing from ~$100M toward $150M–$200M

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate has built and scaled modern CPG brands, driven omnichannel growth, and knows how to balance brand storytelling with performance rigor. They are known for leading with clarity, building high-output teams, and thriving in high-growth, founder-led environments.

Requirements

  • 10–15+ years in CPG marketing, with ownership of $50M–$250M+ revenue growth
  • Experience leading a brand through DTC to omnichannel retail transition
  • Proven ability to scale marketing orgs from 20 to 60+
  • Expertise in performance marketing, media mix, and attribution
  • Strong creative leader with experience turning brand strategy into execution
  • Deep experience with UGC, influencer, and creator ecosystems
  • CRM and subscription lifecycle marketing experience
  • Known for building high-trust, high-performance teams

Location: Flexible (Remote or Hybrid preferred)
