Executive Summary
Universal Awning is seeking a high-level Sales & Marketing Manager to architect and lead our revenue growth strategy. This is a pivotal role for a strategic "hunter" who can manage a sales team, oversee brand marketing, and maintain a high-level sales pipeline. Crucially, this role focuses on revenue generation and front-end strategy, acting as the bridge to production without getting bogged down in day-to-day project management or job-site execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and coach a high-performing sales team; establish clear quotas and track pipeline activity/closing ratios.
- High-Level Sales: Directly manage and close high-value commercial and residential accounts, including site visits and C-suite presentations.
- Marketing & Brand Strategy: Oversee website presence, lead-generation campaigns, and social media to ensure a consistent, high-quality brand identity.
- Operational Liaison (The Handoff): Coordinate closely with Project Managers to ensure a seamless transition from "Sold" to "Production."
- Pre-Production Review: Review sales orders for accuracy, technical feasibility, and profitability before releasing them to the shop.
- Strategic Growth: Identify new markets, nurture CRM opportunities, and build long-term relationships with architects and contractors.
Qualifications & Experience
- Industry Experience: 5+ years in Sales Management or Marketing, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or building products.
- CRM Proficiency: Advanced experience using CRM systems (HubSpot experience is a plus) to drive data-led decisions.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to read architectural plans, specifications, and technical drawings to ensure accurate estimating.
- Leadership Style: A "player-coach" who can lead a team while staying active in the field.
- Military Experience: We highly value the leadership and discipline of veterans; Military experience is a plus.
