About the role:
CHANEL is looking for a Specialist, VIC (Very Important Client) & Client Development Engagement to join our New York Home Office Team in New York City. You will play a leading role in helping to coordinate and steward best in class client experiences for CHANEL top clients, evolve the top client program, and engage with teams at all levels and departments across the organization as well as directly with top clientele.
In this role you will partner closely with the Specialist, VIC & Client Development Strategy, the Manager, VIC & Client Development as well as with the Senior Group Director of the team in coordinating and managing top client engagement and focusing on seamless execution of client experiences, gifting programs, and client development opportunities. This role, which requires an exceptionally high level of organization, will be filled by someone who will help the team execute the highest level of client engagement and utilize a strategic, organized, and detailed approach to the maintenance and development of the VIC program.
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience (preferably within an Events/PR/Hospitality field), an exceptionally strong sense of organization and attention to detail, an understanding of luxury service and product, and a passion for problem solving with a client-centric approach.
What impact you can create at CHANEL:
- Coordinate and organize top client events both domestically and internationally. Be a particularly strong partner to network of Boutique Leaders and US Events team
- Steward top client details and data with discretion to ensure personalized, detailed, and exceptionally executed client experiences.
- Help to refine, manage, and evolve internal team processes and improve efficiencies in working with cross functional partners
- Partner with global teams to align on strategic initiatives and program opportunities, and help to communicate US points of view and client context on events and experiences.
- Work with network of boutique teams to educate on VIC program fundamentals and engagement approach
- Be a close partner to and strong support for team Manager on organizational elements of team’s focus and coordination of top priorities.
- Partner with client engagement teammates and boutique leaders to entertain and engage VIC clients both domestically and internationally
- Understand the retail environment/landscape intimately and be able to dynamically adapt to the needs of our boutique teams in times of change
- Understand, organize, and steward top client data
- Help to organize and assist in hosting VIC clientele at best-in-class client events and experiences domestically and internationally
- Enjoy being a key strategic partner and working extremely collaboratively with team; prioritize being a team player and putting VIC clients first
- Collaborate with key home office partners, to develop synergies and connect dots on divisional goals including but not limited to: Events, PR, Merchandising, Boutiques, and VIP teams
- Maintain a high level of calm and organization leading up to and during client events; be able to manage change with grace and flexibility.

What you will bring to the team:
- Excellent skills in Excel (very comfortable using Pivot Table functions and Vlookup for accurate and efficient analysis),
- Highly skilled in Powerpoint, with specific ability to build compelling, concise, and engaging decks
- A very strong organizational skillset and comfortability in managing details and data in an agile and swift way.
- Experience in Events/PR a plus
- Experience in Marketing or Hospitality a plus
- Ability to fluently and elegantly socialize in Mandarin a plus
- Professional proficiency in French a plus
Position Logistics:
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree required
- Location: New New York, NY
- Travel requirements: up to 20-30%
- Partially Remote: Role requires a minimum of three days in-person office presence at the designated location/office.

Compensation:
- The anticipated base salary range for this position is $60,500 through $95,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay [may/will] be offered for this position. Other components [may/will] include bonus potential, benefits, and/or perks.
