Position Overview:
Ridge is seeking a visionary leader to shape the overall content and production functions in alignment with the company's strategy and brand positioning. As the Creative Director, you will be responsible for driving the creative vision, concept development, and execution across various platforms to elevate the Ridge brand and connect with our audience on a deeper level. You will play a pivotal role in amplifying Ridge's brand presence, fostering community engagement, and ensuring our content reflects the unique values and qualities of Ridge products. The role reports directly to the CMO and will manage our in-house studio, a team of graphic designers and copywriters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a cohesive creative strategy that aligns with Ridge's brand identity, business objectives, and target audience.
- Revamp and maintain Ridge's visual and brand identity, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints and channels.
- Lead the creation of compelling and innovative content across multiple mediums, including digital, video, experiential, out of home and print.
- Provide creative direction to internal and external teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality design solutions that resonate with our audience and reinforce our brand messaging.
- Oversee the end-to-end production process, from ideation to execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
- Develop comprehensive visual and messaging guides to ensure the creation of unique, consistent, and memorable brand experiences across all channels, including owned eCommerce, marketplaces and wholesale.
- Manage and inspire a team of creative professionals, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Ensure all key workflows of the company are properly resourced from a copywriting, design, and content perspective.
- Work with project managers to develop clear and scalable processes and workflows while keeping teams and individuals accountable to deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, and other internal teams to ensure creative initiatives are integrated seamlessly into broader business strategies.
- Stay on top of industry trends, emerging technologies, and cultural insights to inform creative decisions and maintain Ridge's position as a leader in innovation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Creative Director or in a similar creative leadership role within a consumer brand or agency environment.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a track record of innovative and impactful creative work across various mediums.
- Deep understanding of design principles, brand development, and storytelling.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into creative solutions.
- Proficiency in design software and tools, e.g. Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Figma.
