Job Summary:
We're seeking an experienced Social Media Director to join our Marketing team at Makeup by Mario, the #1 most followed Makeup Artist Brand on social media. As a key member of our team, you will develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to expand and engage our community across key social media channels, and drive business results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a data-driven, brand building multi-platform social media strategy to achieve business objectives and KPIs
- Lead the development of social content calendars, content briefs, and creative assets that balance brand storytelling and commercial effectiveness
- Oversee the creation and distribution of owned and paid social content, working closely with the brand founder as well as internal and external creative resources
- Stay ahead of the curve on social media trends, best practices, and emerging platforms, and apply this knowledge to continuously improve our social media strategy
- Analyze performance data to measure campaign success, identify areas for improvement, and optimize future campaigns
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Global Marketing, Ecomm, and Creative, to ensure alignment and maximum impact
- Partner with the influencer & PR teams to identify key creators to partner with to drive owned channels KPIs
- Lead and mentor a team of social media specialists to achieve team goals and objectives
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in social media marketing, with a proven track record of building strong communities, scaling audiences, driving best-in-class engagement while expanding reach on TikTok and Instagram for a prestige makeup brand.
- Strong analytical and strategic skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategies and understanding of what drives social engagement and business results.
- Creative and solution-oriented thinker with a strong visual aesthetic and ability to incorporate the unique brand voice
- Stellar team player with excellent cross functional collaboration skills.
- 2+ years of experience in management position, leading a team of social media professionals and demonstrating leadership with the ability to motivate and mentor
- Experience with social media management tools such as Dash Hudson
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent multi-tasking and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and circumstances
- Ability to think bigger picture and anticipate needs, but also roll up the sleeves to effectively execute in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
Nice to Have:
