Chestnut, a nature-based carbon offset developer, is a start-up with relatively little brand awareness today. The goal of this leader will be to increase brand awareness in order to support carbon offset contract sales to corporate customers. This leader will be responsible for overseeing Chestnut’s creative marketing strategies and execution, and assisting with digital campaigns as relevant. Building Chestnut’s brand as a differentiated product offering in a complicated market, along with distinctive thought leadership in a rapidly evolving and complex industry, will be key.
- Work with CCO to define Chestnut’s brand, marketing and content strategies and objectives that support the company’s growth goals; oversee development and execution of all marketing programs with clear success metrics
- Establish Chestnut’s marketing priorities and lead “big idea” development for the brand’s key programs and platforms; be accountable for all creative outputs, including web, promotional materials, selection of creative agencies, creative briefs, graphics, photography, video, etc.
- Build Chestnut’s brand awareness and presence through development of strong and consistent product messaging, website content, social media presence, and thought leadership, leveraging appropriate agencies and content providers as needed
- Partner closely with CCO and PR agency on strategies for coverage/placement, interviews, etc. in key target publications and media outlets
- Develop and execute new content and programs to increase Chestnut awareness, reach and engagement, including articles and white papers, interviews, webinars and website content
- Maintain ongoing awareness of brand health and consumer insights, communicating to all key stakeholders
