Title: Director of Marketing Location: Cincinnati, OH (Hybrid/Remote Possible)

We’re looking for an innovative and results-driven Director of Marketing to drive initiatives that fuel revenue growth, enhance profitability, and strengthen franchisee retention. This pivotal role demands a strategic leader with extensive expertise in digital, event, and traditional marketing, brand management, and franchise operations. Reporting directly to the Brand President, you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of our network, inspire a talented marketing team, and elevate our brand to new heights.
What you’ll bring to the table:
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a strategic marketing plan that aligns with the overall business objectives, focusing on brand growth, customer acquisition, and franchisee support.
• Brand Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of the brand’s identity across all channels. Ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and visual representation of the brand.
• Offline & Traditional Marketing: Develop and coach franchisees on traditional marketing strategies, including community and event marketing, in-store promotions, community engagement & networking, print advertising, and direct mail. Ensure these efforts complement digital campaigns, reach target audiences, and are a key component.
• Collaboration & Execution: Work closely with the Pet Wants team to achieve growth initiatives in local and national markets.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead and inspire a high-performing marketing team by providing strategic direction, mentoring, and growth opportunities. Nurture a culture of collaboration, and continuous improvement to drive innovative marketing solutions and team excellence.
• Performance Measurement: Measure and report marketing performance, assess goals (ROI and KPIs), and adjust campaigns as necessary.
• Competitive Analysis: Track and perform competitive analysis to stay ahead in the market.
• Relationship Building: Establish strong working relationships with internal staff and franchisees, managing marketing budgets, and ensuring brand standards.
• Franchise Support, Training & Coaching: Assist in training new and existing franchisees, delivering presentations and webinars, and providing marketing best practices. Helping them to tailor national strategies to local markets. Guide them in optimizing their local marketing efforts to drive customer engagement and sales growth.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Marketing, Business Management, or related degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5+ years in marketing management, preferably in a franchise environment. Proven track record in driving revenue growth and brand identity.
• Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management abilities. Self-starter with a team-oriented mindset.
Working Conditions:
• Hours: 40 hours per week, with potential for additional hours including evenings and weekends.
• Travel: Approximately 15-25% travel required.
• Environment: Office-based with the possibility of remote work. Digital dexterity and moderate lifting (up to 40 lbs) required.
