Position Summary
UWorld is seeking a Social Media Specialist to help with various marketing tasks, including managing various social media channels, creating content, setting content strategy, executing organic social campaigns, and other duties as assigned. From ongoing monitoring of social media channels to the execution and tracking of social campaigns, the Social Media Specialist will work to generate new followers, build awareness for the company and its products, attract new clients, and mitigate issues that arise via social media.
Qualifications
Minimum Education Required
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications or related field required or ongoing education and equivalent experience
Minimum Experience Required
- Extensive knowledge of social media platforms (especially Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Reddit, and TikTok), posting guidelines, trends, and a deep understanding of best practices
- Experience compiling, conducting, and reporting on social media metrics
- Previous general marketing and communications experience
JOB DUTIES (including but not limited to):
Social Media Management (60%)
- Work with product owners and the marketing team to define social strategy
- Monitor assigned social media accounts to ensure compliance with UWorld's standards
- Build and maintain a community of followers within assigned social channels
- Generate content to improve visibility and social engagement
- Handle any issues that arise (e.g., customer service, outages, questions, etc.)
Campaign Prep & Misc. (30%)
- Execute assigned campaigns and regularly report metrics to measure success
- Lead or work on assigned company events (town halls, social committee events, focus groups, etc.)
- Enforce UWorld brand standards
Event Attendance (10%)
- Handle social presence for assigned verticals at conferences
- Participate in any special events
Requirements
- Social media experience on multiple platforms and customer service savvy
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to define and report metrics of success
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Must be meticulously organized in collecting, storing, and reporting on data
- Ability to work well within a team environment with competing priorities
- Ability to react in a constructive manner to direct feedback and constructive criticism
- Exceptional attention to detail with respect to adhering to and enforcing UWorld brand standards
