PURPLE USA is looking for a Director of Events. This person will report into the VP, Events and will work across events in the United States. The successful candidate must be entrepreneurial, energetic, obsessed with detail, highly organized, and possess strong communication and analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
· Manage and execute small and large-scale events, overseeing production from concept to completion.
· Create and manage event budgets, based on the budget set out from the client & senior management team. Track expenses, provide forecasting, and handle budget reconciliation post-event.
· Contribute to new business pitches and strategy documents where required.
· Support and work collaboratively with the VIP and PR teams
· Establish and strengthen relationships with creatives, influencers, stylists, photographers and agents.
· Research potential new event venues, production agencies and vendors.
· Secure event sponsors and brand partners as required by VP.
· Devise post event press strategies and re-cap reports.
· Hire and manage Event photography and videography coordination and briefing.
· Oversee Invitation management, distribution, and co-ordination as required based on scale of project.
· Complete AD Hoc projects as necessary
Skills & Experience
· 7 years, proven experience in event management essential. Previous agency experience preferred.
· Knowledge of film/tv, fashion and influencer talent and ability to contribute strategically to event guest lists.
· Social media awareness with an understanding of online communities.
· Experience with Launch Metrics (Fashion GPS)
· Ambitious with a strong work ethic and a passion for working in events.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent budgeting, forecasting, and financial management skills.
· Experience managing vendor relationships and contract negotiations.
· Strong analytical and creative skills with exceptional organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail
· Ability to work independently and efficiently in a high pressured and fast paced environment.
· Ability to be flexible with working hours; open to traveling.
· Proficient in Excel, Power Point and Word.
· Proficient on Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc)
