The Assistant Manager role is responsible for supporting all functions for Advertising and Promotions (including Creative, Print/Premiums, and Production) to realize maximum benefit to the business. The Assistant Manager will work with various stakeholders such as Marketing and Creative along with cross-functional teams and/or Regions on select A&P initiatives. The Assistant Manager will support the implementation of category-specific supply strategies, drive select strategic sourcing activities, and help to build supplier relationship management programs for various categories of indirect spend.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated professional and team player, with demonstrated successful experience in Procurement, preferably in advertising and promotion related categories.
- Works with team lead to execute category-specific supply strategies, ensuring that products are specified and optimized with the best supplier input and capabilities and using all demand-sided opportunities with selected suppliers
- Helps develop category strategies on a local level, in close alignment with stakeholders such as Creative and Marketing, including demand related approaches
- Plans and conducts low-to-medium complexity sourcing projects, such as Requests for Proposal (RFPs) on a global, regional or local level, engaging stakeholders and the required cross-functional resources (50%)
- Engages in supplier relationship management (SRM) and implementation of supplier contracts. Examples include ensuring correct supplier set up in SAP and other enterprise systems, drafting agendas for business reviews with select suppliers, and collecting feedback from stakeholders through survey creation, distribution and analysis. (20%)
- Redlines and amends contracts ensuring legal adequateness, implement contracts and capture them in the system; supports contracting discussions, negotiations and contract creation process
- Ensures uninterrupted and efficient flow of services by providing operational support as needed
- Assists team lead with ensuring compliance with the category strategies and sourcing projects, taking into consideration Procurement Policy, Directive, Guidelines and local Procurement SOPs as well as legal and regulatory requirements
- Helps support value generation for the business through better strategizing, structuring and organizing the supply of the assigned categories, including selecting the “right” supplier base
- Provides manager with recommended KPI and other supplier/team performance metrics

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $73,150 - $109,200. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
