The role of this position is to support the Costco and BJ’s Wholesale Club Division.
Reporting to the VP of Product Development for the club division, this position works directly with the head designer and technical designer of the team.
This role involves a variety of skill sets that are paramount to the team’s success.

Development Stage:
- Prepare pre-season development packages including fabric swatches, color cards and trims to send to factories designated by production.
- Maintain standards library for samples, colors, fabrics and trims.
- Track sample requests and review with design team.
- Maintain detailed records of product specifications, changes and approvals ensuring all documentation is up to date according to PLM for team visibility.
- Review and send out tech packs for initial costing, ensuring they are updated with current changes and buyer requests. Cross check against internal buysheets and bought samples.
Production Stage:
- Create submission libraries, manage and organize all submits from factory for approval. This includes keeping detailed notes within program binders of lab dips, dye lots, strike offs, fabric, trim, labeling and sample (Fit, PP, TOP’s) submits.
- Review and send out final tech packs to nominated factory.
- Partner with tech designer to schedule fit sessions, providing up to date item information and samples needed for review.
- Consistent review of cad’s, PLM and packaging to ensure all updates are communicated and executed to factories, buyers and internal team members.
- Daily communication with factories regarding T & A calendar, submission and sample comments and ensuring Costco protocols are being followed.
- Consistent communication with all teams regarding challenges that may affect product integrity and shipment delivery based on factory correspondence.
- Work closely with VP of Product Development to ensure factory audits, lab testing and QA dept requirements are thoroughly met.
Buyer and Showroom:
- Work with sales to schedule and attend all necessary photoshoots – model selection, timing, sample requests.
- Send out and track all buyer submission packages – Fedex drop off, tracking numbers.
- Assist designer with buyer meeting preparations:
- Correct hangers and labeling for presentation samples
- Steaming Samples
- Cad accuracy and content
- Color cards/boards
- Maintain sample room to ensure past and current reference samples are in order.
Club or private label experience (Sam’s Club, Costco, BJs) required.
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000
