Director, Retail Marketing
- Establish and lead goals within the retail marketing team focused on guidance, mentorship, and fostering a culture of collaboration.
- Develop end-to-end go-to-market strategies for all retail campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and retail sales goals.
- Align retail marketing strategies with the culture marketing team for big brand merchandise collaborations
- Serve as a key stakeholder in strategic planning meetings, ensuring retail marketing is represented and continuing to grow.
- Lead the creative process with support of the overall marketing team, from creative briefing to final asset distribution for streamlined campaigns.
- Collaborate with external partners on product development and buying to ensure products align with the Pistons brand and marketing initiatives.
- Report and measure campaign effectiveness and provide actionable insights and detailed performance reports with support of Marketing Operations and Business Intelligence teams.
- Use data-driven analysis to refine go-to-market strategies, enhance future campaigns and inform inventory planning and purchasing decisions.
- Stay up to date on retail, marketing and league trends to ensure Pistons strategies remain innovative and competitive.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in retail marketing or related fields, with a strong focus on go-to-market strategies; Professional sports league experience preferred
- Shown success in leading multi-channel campaigns, including creative direction, paid media, and e-marketing
- Strong leadership skills with experience leading and developing team members.
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence collaborators at all levels.
- Analytical mentality with a proven understanding of marketing analytics and performance reporting.
