What you'll do
As part of the Product Security team, you will be helping Docusign in developing secure products. You will develop and aid in the implementation of the “secure by default” framework. We interact with several different tech stacks at Docusign, so we expect you to research and learn new technologies, attacks and programming languages on a regular basis. You will be building strong working relationships across the organization with a focus on raising the security bar with our product development partners.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Product Security.
Responsibility
- Build automation to improve remediation at scale for common vulnerabilities
- Enable developers to ship secure code through tools, people, and processes
- Discover and investigate potential security issues in Docusign products
- Guide developers on security best practices and implementation
- Aid in code reviews, focused on security bug reduction
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other security practitioners
- Take a data driven approach to review and verify reported vulnerabilities, perform root cause analysis, and partner with developers to drive corrections
- Identify and communicate opportunities for continuous improvement that can bring value to multiple teams
- Track metrics and create thorough documentation related to areas of ownership
Job Designation
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring
Basic
- Currently pursuing bachelor’s or MS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related with a focus in cyber security
- Demonstrated development experience in one or more of the following languages: Python, C#, JavaScript, Java
- Role is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred
- Excited about exploring new security solutions and are willing to try new attack methodologies
- Can work independently and comfortable seeking out suggestions from other team members
- Excited to work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Clear communicator - you are concise and articulate in speech and writing
- Passionate about weaving security to without compromising developer productivity and velocity
- Prior cyber security internships
- Knowledge of common product security vulnerabilities and solutions
- Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
- Quick learners and ready to address newer challenges
Wage Transparency
Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $31.00/hour - $40.00/hour
